Today I met young child who was driven to attempt suicide because they were beaten by their parents. Last time I met a child who was raped by their father and then passed to his friend. Another child is stuck in a psychotic state because their mother joined a cult and will not say what happened. Several kids are kept institutionalized for months and months because their parents don't want them back or they are unfit to take care of them. All of these kids are younger than 12 years old.
I wish I could adopt them all.
I wish people would think a bit more before they have kids.
In Mexico I met dozens of children who were being raised by parents who did not love them or want them around. Some parents are just bad at parenting and need help, other parents just don't want their children and it makes me furious. I know the feeling of wanting to adopt children to get them a better home. It's too bad I don't have more money...
